Clinical trial app with BWH and Prostate Cancer Foundation.
When BWH/Dana Farber Urology Surgeon Dr. Quoc Trinh and his team received a grant from the Prostate Cancer Foundation to study the impact of a smartphone diet and exercise tracker on the outcomes of patients undergoing Androgen Deprivation Therapy, he chose ADK. Our deep relationships with the hospital and unique experience building custom healthcare applications for researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital made us a logical partner. Having built a custom research portal in partnership BWH's CIO, we were able to offer the robust research portal functionality and the custom mobile application that Dr. Trinh sought in his RFP.
Starting from a 60 page grant application which outlined the high-level project objectives and requirements, we set off to build a project plan. User experience design, database architecture, and React Native app development followed. In the end, we built a patient app for Android and iOS devices that was modern, user friendly, and lightning fast. For the researchers, we configured our React.js based Mobile Health Research Dashboard to meet the study team's needs.
Our unique expertise in building custom mobile health data collection applications and our proprietary research dashboard platform made ADK the perfect partner for this project. Where other "off the shelf" solutions fell short on features and where other development companies were either too small or too expensive, ADK was the perfect fit for the project. The study has a 3-year timeline and we look forward to seeing how it improves the health of Dr. Trinh's patients.
